    Rear spring center bolt problem

Thanks to all of you. Your input is very helpful and appreciated. I really am heeding the safety advice and am on the hunt for some one with a spreader AND experience. I remember an eighteen old kid (me) back in the early 1950's listening to a man with a bunch of stripes on his arm telling me...

    Exhaust/intake manifold ?

Looks like I have a gasket leak on my exhaust manifold, and am wondering which is the best gasket material to use for the replacements. Also, I do not find a recommendation for torqueing the manifold nuts, and should they be torqued with the manifold hot or cold? Thanks all, as usual Burt

    Another Stuck Head

I made the mistake of not being careful enough when using wedges and bent a valve, just like the warning above. I learned a lot when trying to get my stuck head off. First of all, it HAS to be raised parallel to the block. If it isn',t then you HAVE to knock it back down. That just might do the...

    distributor Cam Screw

The cam screw is set down tight and I am wondering if there is a trick to loosing it up. The distributor was overhauled along with the engine and I have not been able to back it out to time the engine, I do not think there is any corrosion, or the like. It is just too tight to turn ( there may...
