    New Model A ignition parts

I bought my Model A with a Mallory distributor (2301105),not sure about the coil or wires. I will be getting a new coil, points, condenser, cap, wires, and plugs. I'm not planning on doing anything special, just making it a good running driver. I am currently keeping it 6v, but will eventually...

    Best oil to use?

The car has the original four cylinder flat head. I've had the car for almost a year, I'm not sure what oil was in the engine before. The guy working on my car is very thorough, he cleaned the inside of the engine before reinstalling the oil pan.

    Best oil to use?

I am having some work done to my 1930 Model A that I am unable to do, and I need to get some oil to finish the job. The guy working on my car said there was a lot of sludge in the engine when he had the oil pan off. What would be the best oil to use? And should I use an additive to cut the...

    Model A Original Color

According to a chart pgerhardt posted, Niagara Blue Dark was not available for the '30 Tudor, but Lombard Blue is real dark. I'll have to check again tomorrow in the sunlight, but it appears there is only black.

    Model A Original Color

Every spot I check inside the car, fire wall inside and out and in front of the tank, and under the tank, all I see is black. So either it was originally black or it was completely repainted at sometime in its life.

    Model A Original Color

I just scratched on the firewall and all there is is black. So either the color is black, or at some point in it's lifetime the car was completely repainted.

    Model A Original Color

pgerhardt, that chart looks to be very usefull. I just checked the MAFCA color page, Andalusite Blue looks to be the closest but still too different to any color I see. Looks like I'll have to sand off paint in a more visible area like the rear body panel. Your two tone green looks good...

    Model A Original Color

It's a Tudor Sedan (55B). As of now I'm not looking to completely restore the car, just clean it up and make it a good driver. If Washington Blue is only on deluxe models, that means the blue on the door must just be a similar color, or the door came from a deluxe car.

    Model A Original Color

I have a 1930 Model A that is in very good shape that I see just needs to be cleaned up. One item that needs redoing is the paint. If possible I would like to use the original color that was on the car when it left the factory. I originally posted this question on the H.A.M.B. and was directed...
