    Model T Haven

I was wondering how many here, (beside me) are as excited, & a little saddened by the monstrous liquidation sale in Iola Kansas nov. 16-17? I bought a few used model A roadster pieces from them, & was pleasantly surprised that the description of what i would get, didn't do justice to parts i...

1928 roadster pickup cab assembly pictures

This is actually pretty helpful to me as well. I just picked up a really solid, complete 29 RPU, although there was some rust issues on the lower cab corners. I was missing most of the wood. This will help identify what i am missing & give me a reason to use my band saw again

    head light harness

When you get that bulb off at the bottom of the column, be prepared for some cleaning-inside & out. The steering box is filled with 600 weight, & leaks into the socket, creating a big oily mess. You will end up cutting the old wire away from the bulb, then just pull the new wire harness through...

    antique car guy

Yep, no need to remove the wheel to replace the wiring harness. As long as the retainer "C" clip at the bottom of the column doesn't fall out (like mine did) There shouldn't be any reason to mess with anything up top. If you need to remove the wheel, get the right tool, less chance of damaging...

    Won't start

This is a topic that is plaguing me right now as well. Got one of those fuse holders ( & all new wiring, ignition switch, coil) got power from the battery to the starter, to the fuse holder, then...nothing. Pulled the fuse, & it looks good. Looks like i have something to look forward to tonight...

1929 tudor front radius rod question

i kind of "enjoy" looking at farmer fixes. I go to a lot of auctions, i drag home lots of model a stuff. Frames seemed to be especially susceptible to that kind of repair.

1929 tudor front radius rod question

i'll try to get some pics loaded this weekend. There were a few other farmer fixes (like brazing the hood shelves to the fenders in a few spots odd ball springs replacing the anti rattlers etc.). But, so far every nut, bolt, & screw has moved right out, without much resistance

1929 tudor front radius rod question

I was crawling around under my newly acquired tudor, & noticed a logging chain hooked to the radius rod cap. It wraps tightly up against the trans on the passenger side, & is bolted to a hole, with a nut/bolt in the trans mount. I'm thinking maybe the whole assembly holding the rods in place...

    American pickers

i used to work with a clown that used to refer to himself in first party as a "picker" , used to drive me crazy listening to him try to swindle some old lady out of her late husbands antique whatever. He would always tell me about this show, & all the crazy treasures they would find, & would...
