    Powerhouse Bakelite Rings

I have fixed several brush rings with JB Weld. A couple were in 3 pieces. I made a jig with a SS hose clamp on the outside, applied the JBW and let it sit for 48 hours. Still working fine after 6 years +.

    What is this part for?

It's a radiator upper baffle. it goes in the tank just below the fill neck and it keeps the water from the upper neck from pushing out the cap. Have to remove the tank to install it. Most radiators have them, but some used aftermarket ones don't.

    ethanol

I've had bad luck (I suspect) with ethenol here in Florida. '30 Tudor kept shutting off and after sitting for 2-3 minutes it would start up and run for 5-10 minutes. Suspected vapor lock, etc and finally found the Model A supplier non-leather gas cap gasket had swelled due to the ethenol and...

    31slant windshild fordor

Candy, Sorry about your husband.....I'm sure he would be pleased to know you are finishing the car. Bratton's and Mac's have them in the current catalogs.....unless they are no longer available. (They list the windwings for a '31 SW but don't have them).

    shock confusion

Thanks barnstuf. I would suspect these are much older than the 80's but could be wrong. I'll post results with the rebuilding kits in a day or so. AAp by Pete must have sold a bunch of them in Florida as I have 5 more that look like they have been anchoring crab traps.

    shock confusion

Rebuilding shocks on a '30 coupe. All marked "Ford Hydraulic Shocks" but don't match anything in any of the manuals, Restorers books, clay tablets or parchments. They are similar but not identical to the Houdialle type as they don't have the "hex" on the flywing shaft cover. Bleeder screw is...

    Mom's Last Model A Ride

Tom, Always sad to lose a loved one, my condolences. An old friend of 59 years+ who gave me my first Model A in '58 died 2 years ago. We took his AA express body truck, modifed the casket rack (with the funeral homes full help and agreement) to fit the truck bed, lined it with flowers, loaded...
