Ok, so the crank bolt loosened up very easily, I’m talking about a 1/2 turn before I could loosen it by hand. And as you can see, there’s some metal
Shavings on the bolt. Also, why is a section of the bolt darker colored?
Yes, just wanting to see if I can get the motor to turn before I try to fire it up, this is a project that I just got not long ago, it’s in bad shape but I’m trying to save it.
That’s what I’m suspecting, it can never be easy
Hi all, I’m trying to get the flathead in my 52 f2 to turn over. I’m going clockwise with a breaker bar on the crank and the bolt is turning, but the pulley isn’t. Shouldn’t my pulley and accessories be spinning too or am I wrong??
Thank you.
Hi everyone, been awhile since I posted stuff about my model A but now I’ve got another mystery on my hands. Found this title for a 1915 T and pictures in a bedroom of my house, the name on the title Is my great -grandfathers but the car is nowhere to be found. I have my grandfathers old model...
Well today I got to meet the Dave Bortz that's on the title of my model A! It was great and he was awesome. Telling me stories of the hot rods he had growing up. Brought me some pictures of my Model A that were taken in 1962 when he and his dad had it. Very cool to see how it was back then...
Thanks for the explanation!! And you're exactly right!! For me it's all gonna be about the first time that car cranks, maybe you should try to track that '3- coupe down??
Someone else told me that too, pretty cool.
Ya I keep forgetting to do that, my apologies.
I won't just sell stuff off, only looking to sell things I have 2 or more of. I will test the rads tomorrow and see what's going on
