Ford model 59 carburetor rebuild kit

Just make sure to thoroughly clean the carburetor once apart. I put all body pieces in a closed container with enough acetone to make sure pieces are submerged. 24-48 hours in this bath. Then after removing, I chase all passages with soft wire. This is followed by a blast through all...

Any idea what these carbs go to?

Those carbs could be for a Ford tractor if it had a Funk six cylinder conversion

    Sad but true

That is true. The first Fordsons were notorious for flipping over backwards. The “fix” was extended fenders which alleviated this.

Couple more…. And what did most older tractors have embossed on fuel caps? Buy clean fuel and keep it clean. Would I put my daughter on my 1940 Farmall A yard mowing tractor without instructions and warning; the tractor is adjusted to its narrowest track setting, and the drive belt is near...

Wonder how many people on here snickering about modern stupidity have seen a steam engine belted to a prony...

    Sad but true

When my father was young, his dad had a John Deere D. They didn’t have permanent anti freeze, so alcohol it was, at least in the spring and fall when it would most likely freeze at night. Problem was, the D would get warm enough to boil off the alcohol, so one had to be diligent about topping...

Pto would have powered a pump, often contained in the hydraulic tank itself. Add hoses to a hydraulic ram, and Bob’s your uncle.

how to Remove the Pinion Gear from Housing

For my F3 Timken, which I believe is similar to the car differential pinion-wise, I used a 1/2” piece of plate ~5x5”, with a hole for the threaded pinion end, and two holes for all thread. Standard 1/2” hardware store all thread and 4 nuts, one welded to end of all thread above plate, one...
