    Gear Shift lever

I hope you all had a good Christmas. Greetings for the NEW YEAR I recently decided to repair my gear box top and gear shift lever system. The leaver was waving like a flag in the wind. I dismantled the one in the car, and two others. Two had emergency brake mounts, the third did not. Two levers...

Adding turn signals to my A. I need help!

That is the same as I have installed, almost fool proof, although it has been said that some fools are some what smart at times!:D . It is one of the least expensive, and probably reliable.

    Turn Signals

Hi I have used virtual same wiring and this is a simple system to install. The head lamps I have are non standard, have led lamps, and small park, and turn indicators in the lamp shell. I have a 12v system and electronic flasher, with a vintage type center off turn switch.

    Shift tower.

Hi all, a question for transmission specialists. I had cause to remove the gear stick housing/shift tower due to sloppy movement in the stick, waving about like a flag in the wind. I have a couple of spare towers,(2). All seemed to be different, one had no attachment for the emergency hand...

Snyders #A-9193-T, trouble with crud in the bottom of my fuel tank.....

All good aviation retail companies sell a brass sediment bowl with a quick drain attachment on the bottom of the bowl. They are a push up drain type that will release crud, water, etc and self seal. Good for those who are not points cars.

    Gear box change over

Thanks for all the replies, most appreciated. A good and solid look at the multi plate setup has determined that the internal parts may be of use, but as stated the drive chain from engine to gear box is of course different. After a read of several books, 'Andrew's and Page and an orignal...

    Gear box change over

Hi all. I have a noisy gearbox in the 29' speedster. I made the mistake of putting new gears in the box without also changing the layshafts. There is an all right gearbox out of a multi plate clutch type set up. My question is can I do a direct change over ie will the older box fit. Following...

    MMO in the Gas

Terry, Moth balls are Naphthalene, C10-H8, a hydro carbon, produced from coal tar which crystalises into a white substance then used to evacuate pesky cloth munching insects in your wardrobe/closet. It was at one time called white tar. Sorry for the chemistry lesson, it still smells nice...

    Five bearing camshaft

Thanks all, according to Jim's note the cam I have is in the last batch, as it has rough turned #'S 2 and 4 bearing and these are both smaller than the #'s 1,3,and5 on the shaft. I have a 3 bearing shaft and will use that. Thanks again for the comments.

    Five bearing camshaft

A question re camshafts: I have a five bearing camshaft and the motor only has the normal three bearing camshaft housing in the block, Can I use this in my rebuild, or is it better to seek out the standard three bearing shaft. Is there a difference in the grinds on the shafts, and am I correct...
