I have the Black & Decker ones. They are on a timer tho. I have heard too many horror stories including one local one where a tender left on 24/7 was the cause of a garage fire.
Good one ModelA29.....I think they will make a TV show to get more money, instead of "The Curse of Oak Island" it will become 'The Curse of Nikumaroro Island"
I am a member of the Model A Drivers Club of East Central Ohio. Even tho I cannot attend meetings most of the time, I joined just to make new friends & have some help in case of issues with my car. I feel it is a invaluable resource since not everyone knows about the nuances of the Model A these...
Yeah, I have Hagerty, Cherished Value is the way to go. Still can't figure out why the fire dept guys didn't want to help you right the car to eliminate a fire hazard since those guys are all about safety.....?
You got that right Ronn, I threw all those 'safety' spouts away and got the normal spout kits off Ebay with the little snap vents included. A battery powered pump that attaches to the cans makes filling my car a breeze. No runs, no drips, no errors......
Today I uncovered my A from putting it away in Oct for a long winter nap. All I did was have a battery tender (on a timer) and StayBil in the gas tank. Turned over once and fired right up, ran like a champ. Can't wait to go cruising!
BTW I have a tow bar that attaches to the bumper brackets I'll sell cheap if anyone is interested. Don't use it on a car without an engine tho, like mentioned above, it won't self-steer.
I've always had good luck with California Car Covers. If it's open transport make sure the cover is tight & secure all over so it does not flap and cause wear marks on your paint.
Regardless of what tenders everyone uses, do have them on timers or are they on 24/7? I have heard horror stories and also local resident had one catch fire and burn up two Challengers plus his garage. (Fire Chief who lives across the road confirmed that one btw.)
That answers that Don, Thanks.. Mosser was pretty evasive on the question so maybe they had issues with them. I know of no one else unless there is a private individual out there who would want to take on the job.
Update on Mosser Glass gearshift knobs. I inquired since we are a dealer. One person said they would have someone contact me. No one did. I had an employee pick up one of our orders and she inquired at the plant. The lady had no idea about any knobs. I emailed again and the second time they said...
