Had this type problem for some time. Ended up being a bad connection inside the battery clamp.

Opps, they are steel drums with bands. The linings are worn uneven but not bad. They are not brazed. I think the shoes are too low as there is some paint rub on the top part of the backing plate where the face drops off. Rollers, operating wedge and wedge stud are NOS and show no ware.

Cast, original to car. Turned once when I put on drum bands, no drag.

Did chamfer, linings are riveted by myself. They look tight.

I have tested over 30 jets and the flow rates seem high. My flow tester is made with 3/4 PVC, 36 inch column, vented at top, fed with a fountain pump in a bucket. Retesting jets give the same result. 16 Cap Jets 160/220. 6 over 180 7 Idle Jets 55/190. 3 new ones 55,60,65...

I have a 4dr 170b dlx. The color that I found in the Nason brand is G8952 IF. It is actually a 1989 Peugeot, Arabian Blue Code RB8. It is a very dark blue that looks black in the late pm but is beautiful in the sun light. I drove to Oshkosh and it matches the other cars.
