I just read this and there was no place to reply so I took it upon myself to start a thread with his editorial.

Ford Barn Birthday… Sort Of…

Well, as of today I’m the official owner of Ford Barn. It took me exactly a year to pay off Shelly with crisp green backs, but here I am… Owner. Editor. Moderator. Target of jokes. And it has been a great year. We’ve done a complete redesign. We’ve completely changed the site’s software. We’ve protected the past. We’ve protected the future.
In any case, I thought it would be interesting on this special day to go back and look at the stats of the site to see how we’ve done numerically. All of the changes we’ve done over the past year were actually quite risky. It’s amazingly easy to drive folks off with change and we did a whole lot of it… And you know what, I think we did a smash up job. These numbers prove it:
Pageview growth in the past 365 days: 72.34%
Unique visitor growth in the past 365 days: 49.5%
Average time spent on site growth in the past 365 days: 86.51%
Average number of posts per day growth in the past 365 days: 64%
Not too bad, huh?
Anyway, a special thanks to all of you fellas that have been so patient with me over the past year. This was a big hurdle to jump and we couldn’t have done it without all of you guys being understanding, willing to learn, and willing to give me a shot. I owe ya all…

Ryan took a big financial chance by taking the reins of the Ford barn and restructured it to his likings,,sorta like Henry ford going from the 4 cylinder to the Flathead V8.

Sure some left and have never returned but many, many of the original guys that were here when Shelly steered the ship have stuck it out and hundreds of others have joined.

I wasn't very active on the old board but I bought a lot of parts over the years from members.

This place is so much easier to navigate and much more user friendly,,Thank you Ryan and congratulations for sticking your neck out,,I remember a lotta guys here wanted to chop it off but I think most appreciate what you have done,,I know I do. HRP

I agree. This site is now so much easier to use and the graphics are like going from a child's reader to a glossy magazine. The hard work shows in the numbers. Posting photos is so easy my dog could do it.
Good job,Ryan.

Yep, really appreciate the work he's done to the place. Shelly got the old girl rolling. Ryan came along and put on a set of aluminum heads, a 2X2 intake, and 3/4 cam into the old girl and got it all hopped up!

Thanks.

I used to drop by occasionally "BR" and although found lots of good info, I was not comfortable with navigation of the site. So it wasjust an occasional visit. Now it's daily. Thanks Ryan.

Working from home, I check in way too often sometimes! LOL

Thanks again. And congratulations on your new digs.

I couldn't figure out the old Barn, posts threads, etc... wasn't easy at all. Now it's my second hangout, and very much improved. Thanks to Ryan and Shelly and everyone involved in this improvement!

Why in the hell is anyone surprised?

Ryan's been running the best car site on the internet(HAMB), he took on Ford Barn and guys started ... "the sky is falling! The sky is falling!"

Of course it's a great site ... I TOLD YOU SO!

( ... nice work, Ryan.)
